Where To Buy Clove Cigarettes Online
Will we still be able to buy clove cigarettes online after the jackboot law goes into effect Sept 1, 2009?
Any distinction between buying from source overseas direct and buying at your local store?

I don't think so. It will be an illegal substance nationwide and the overseas companies probably won't ship things here that are illegal. I'm not sure that I would want to leave an internet trail to myself either for buying it. There are also talks in Washington right now to prohibit USPS from delivering tobacco products to residences. So far, that hasn't made it too far (yet).
For anyone who isn't familiar with the bill that Obama happily signed into law, it is HR 1256. The part that refers to clove cigarettes is "Prohibits a cigarette or any of its components from containing as a constituent or additive any artificial or natural flavor (other than tobacco or menthol) or any herb or spice (including strawberry, grape, orange, clove, cinnamon, and vanilla) that is a characterizing flavor of the tobacco product or tobacco smoke."
This site gives more information about it. Half way down the page (near the maps) are links that will tell you which congressmen and Senators voted for this ban. There is a link for the House and the Senate and both say "view votes". If you don't like the way they voted, vote them out of office next year.

I'll bet that there will be an active black market for those products. Personally, I don't buy things that way but I have friends who no longer buy their cigarettes from stores. I don't think that banning clove cigarettes will make them disappear......
