Cigarettes Prices By State 2012

Smokers in NYC pay $4 in tax per pack of cigarettes or a 400% tax rate, is this justified?
When will people awaken? Tobacco growers are highly subsidized by your government, and millions and billions if not trillions spent by your FDA in regulating the production of tobacco products.

What US government budgets are built, rebuilt, cycled through, and renewed with conventional annual increase? And what tobacco related illnesses are put to the laboratory in which pharmaceutical industries, subsidized under FDA and US government, and what range of nearly useless peripheral medicines are laid out on your (monopolist) Walmart shelves as a result of those outlays and for the purpose of profit out of your wallets? And how much tobacco is exported for profit well out of reach of US regulators, but only after taxed for export? And what tobacco industry and pharmaceutical industry corporate income taxes further build your federal and state budgets -- yet beyond the state and federal sales tax revenues gleaned of consumers?

Your government. Your US richclass corporate government is the tobacco dealer you are (obliviously) unable to pinpoint right under your noses. Always has been -- and your government got their start by blaming England for TEA? A dealer is a dealer.

And since when have you let anyone tell you what or what not to do? The “warning label” advertising gimmicks further rip you off. How much US government budget is allocated for these useless ads? Who funds those massive advertising budgets? Who pays for those ads? And what broad range of US richclass corporate profits?

Any day now... Any day now... Someone out there just has to awaken.

There is tobacco all over Japan and Southeast Asia, yet oddly there are very, very few tobacco fields. “Japan Tobacco” is one of the most powerful Japanese lobbies in Japan and in the USA. Where are they getting all that raw tobacco? Who's explaining this?

ha ha the atty general of Mississippi started the deal on suing them and got hundreds of millions and he gets like ten million a year from it. this went to help with people who contracted cancer from smokin. sadly all the cash is gone and other states got in on the act.

I say this because the cigarette folks had no problem with it and immediately doubled the price of a cartoon of cigarette. they just passed it on to the ones hooked on tobacco. So it is a rip off.

Obama got in the act and also our state taxed them also.

could you image the uproar if they taxed beer like that? Gov. Barbour was going to put a dollar tax on beer here but stopped, so it's sad that one of the most addictive things is just being taxed and the cigarette companies just raise prices,, no big deal.

Have a great 2012!
