Is it a lot worse for your health to smoke hand rolled cigarettes without a filter?
Ive recently started smoking hand rolled cigarettes without filters, mainly because I have no idea where to purchase them. I used to smoke marlboro lights, but they proved to be just too expensive!!!!

Nobody knows. People who say filters are better forget that
1) the filters also filter out nicotine causing you to smoke more
2) With filters you take a bigger drag and get the same amount of smoke anyhow. It is finer smoke that can lodge more easily in the lungs. Non-filters typically use less tobacco, and drags are shorter.
You can find filters for hand-rolled cigarettes at a tobacco store. If you don't know where your local tobacco store is, find a hippie and ask them. They should know, especially if they are old enough to have been to a Grateful Dead show. Often it will be more of a head shop and sell mostly bongs, as if anyone used bongs for tobacco. But they sell tobacco too.
There are also kits that sell you a zillion little tubes with filters pre-installed, and a machine that stuffs tobacco inside them, and a bag of tobacco.
Best of all, a lot of them now sell electronic cigarettes, though they are much cheaper online. Electronic smokes vaporize nicotine from a liquid solution every time you take a drag, and add water vapor to make it look like smoke. It works and is non-toxic.
