How many packs of cigarettes can I take into China ?
I brought 2 cartons in my case when I went to China. I'm sure I could have brought more. When I left China I brought back 10 cartons of DOUBLE HAPPINESS no problem. Sad thing is the smokes I went to China with are still un-smoked. They were for my girlfriend. Carlton 100's. Not that popular. By that time she had switched to a Chinese Brand. You can find smokes in China at a very low cost. The lowest I found were $4.00 USA a carton. Who knows what the heck were in those. We ended up smoking Double Happiness. $10.00 a carton. Heck for every carton we bought the owner would give us a discount and a free lighter. Not sure what brand you smoke... but you can find, MARLBORO. KENT. CAMELS. They are almost the same but most are made in the Philippines or Vietnam. Hong Kong has many other USA brands. The Duty Free shop has a lot too. So if you are staying long I would suggest buying Chinese smokes. But I think if you want to bring your own... you could pack up to 4 cartons of your USA smokes.
