Smoking Cigarettes Health Risks
What are the health risks of smoking one cigarette a day?
Age:17
I have been smoking for about a year and a half. I tried quitting a week back but i just think its too damn tough. I don't normally smoke more than 1 or 2 cigarettes a day.
How much trouble am i causing to my body?
All the anti smoking websites only specify health risks of smokers who smoke 2 packs a day, which is unlike me.
Thanks in advance :)

when we smoke we inhale hundreds of different harmful substances and most are carcinogenics. If you google a little then you can find that smoking causes a hell lot of cancers and many other diseases, including stuffs like leg cramps to liver kidney heart lungs damage. the most direct effect is, off-course, suffered by respiratory organs, but when you talk about the criteria then for developing the most common respiratory diseases like chronic bronchitis and emphysema, the smoking history should be more than 11to 14 pack year (1 pack year = 1 pack smoked everyday for 1 year). So if you look at the criteria then you are fine. But this is just about these two diseases, and there are many other for which we cannot state clearly. Smoking is never good, keep it at 1per day, it's hard to quit, i know...
